Precision on flying to Waypoints

Tom, I would appreciate your feedback on how best to setup the config to get reasonable precision on flying to waypoints.

My plane is an electric glider, similar to an Easystar, which flies well and is stable. However when flying to waypoints it seems to take a long time to come to the correct heading and then changing over to the subsequent heading so as a result I get very wide turns. In manual mode it can easily pull tight turns so I am thinking it is the setup I have.

The max roll setting is 30 degrees, the waypoint radius is 35m, and the heading error PID values are P = 0.8, I = 0, D = 0, boundaries are -1 and +1. I am thinking that the P value should be lower and the max roll setting closer to 45 degrees in order to get much tight turns.

Would appreciate your feedback.

Tom, I have resolved my question. I changed the max roll setting to 40 degrees and reduced the P setting on the heading error setting and am now getting much tighter turns and better alignment on the waypoints.
