Just put anything that is not directly related to the Gluon-specific implementation here. I will create subforums if required!

XML File Conversion

Postby Mitch » Sun Jun 27, 2010 3:32 am

Does anyone know of a good utility to convert xml files to something like excel spreadsheet xls, or tab delimited? I know newer versions of excel will import them but I don't personally have a newer version for my personal use.

You can try openoffice, or convert xml to a customs format using XLST :-)

Has it something to do with gluonpilot logging?

That is exactly where I'm going. Just trying to make it easier to extract all of the data into a spreadsheet I can use more easily. I experimented with the _dgv_datalog datagridview control to copy to clipboard using a button control, or could also add a menu for a right mouse click. That format pastes directly into an xls. Still that gets tedious with large amounts of data.

Oh yes: you can select all rows in the gluonconfig grid and then copy-paste to excel :-)
