Cable TTL -232R 5V

Postby Rico21 » Fri Dec 11, 2009 3:23 pm

Hi,
Did someone get the schematic of this cable? I'm looking for the signals according to the different colours on the connector. FTDI do not answer to my question.

Thanks for your help

I don't think an ftdi cable is a hard standard - but the one I have is

1. Green-DTR some are RTS
2. RX
3. TX
4. 5v or 3.3v
5. CTS
6. Black - Ground

It is explained in the manual on page 8: http://www.ftdichip.com/Documents/DataS ... S_V201.pdf

You actually only need TX, RX, 5V and GND. I included the other pins on gluonpilot to make sure everybody could use the FTDI cable, which is easy! :-)

Mitch, Tom

Thank you for your answers, I hav' not be able to find this information by myself! What a shame! it will bee usefull to finish a project for a friend: he wants to animate 2 pilots (arms and heads) in his plane during exhibition with scenarios developp on a PC and transfer in a microproc. When visitors travell in front of the plane,2 detectors detect from wich side they arrive and the pilots turn the head one after the other to this side and raise their arms! Funny.

Thank you both
