MPLAB & C30

Postby Jippieee » Mon Jul 19, 2010 1:58 pm

This is my first post so first off: thanks for this great project!

I was setting my first steps in trying to hack into the code so I started as per instruction "Creating a new gluon project in Mplab". What is a good source for the C30 toolsuite? There is a commercial version and a student version. Is the student verion ok?

My background is MS Visual Studio so this is quite a shift for me. Sorry for my ignorance.

Thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc,

The student version is fine, it's what we all use :-)

Thanks Tom.
I have the compiler working. What is the suggested heap size for RTOS / non RTOS projects?

For the moment we have a heap of 8192 bytes. This should still be plenty.
