Ooh did you just avoid the ditch on the 2nd video?

I agree autolanding is not easy with planes with a good glide performance. Personally I still prefer the funjet which you can "pancake" during landing and won't stall

And thanks for the videos, you have the largest collection of FPV gluonpilot vids

Well, I have whole bunch of videos but just didn't post those anywhere.
3rd video is from a GoPro + CCD cam - the quality is much better than what you see on vimeo.
Probably conversion on their servers resulted in quality lost.
Still need to play with codecs.

With current platform it takes me couple of flights to adjust auto-landing.
The plane just doesn't want to land.

Yesterday I almost landed two times on trees - I had to take over the plane in manual mode to recover it.
The plane was descending to auto-land and I lost eye vision as the plane was behind trees.
I managed to pull the elevator, give full throttle and aggressively pull up
We need a TAWS system
