auto-calibrate

Hi Tom,

In gluonpilot firmware we have an auto-calibrate functionality at start up.
If I remember right we need to lie the plane flat and wait about 10sec.

Would it be possible that gluonpilot would indicate finish of auto-calibrate by moving ailerons up and down?
This would assure that this is finished before we move the plane.

Hi Lukasz,

I think you didn't understand the workings of the auto-calibrate functionality correctly.

The auto-calibration works all the time, also during flight. But it works very slow to overcome vibrations and other annoying things. How long it takes before it stabilizes depends on how accurate the "neutral value" configuration of your module is. I recommend to keep your plane lying on the ground for about 1 minute before take-off. You also need at leasy 6 GPS-satellites, which also takes about a minute :-)

Thanks Tom for clarification.
I thought that the auto-calibration is done once after powering the module.
I didn't realize that this is also done during flight.
What is the frequency if auto calibration?
What happens when the plane is pitching up, rolling and the calibration takes place?
