Which XBee modules are you using?
You need to do 2 things:
- Pair them (depends on type of module)
- Set the baudrate to 115200

I learned later on that the baudrate should be no more than 57600 for good bi-directional communication. In the future this will be changed in the gluon firmware.

Hi Tom,

Does this apply only to 2.4 GHZ units or do you recomand we set the baudrate to 57600 also on XBEE Pro 900 Mhz units (North America models) from Sparkfun:
http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9099
I have my baud rate set at 115200 and it seems to work well, I have not flown it yet but on the ground with the Happy Killmore ground station, it seems to be working OK?

Thanks,
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Did you try to write the configuration or navigation over XBee?

Hi Tom,

i am using the following Xbee module
http://www.digi.com/products/wireless/p ... module.jsp
XBee-PRO® 802.15.4 OEM RF Modules

I have set the baud to 115200 and channel C for both modules in XCTU

do i have to do any other changes to pair them in XCTU ..???

can Xbee used to change PID gains online while flying.??

Thanks,

No these should be paired automatically. You can change the default PAN ID to make sure they will also work when a 2nd XBEE pair is online.
